Club History
Cincy Classics Volleyball Club was formed in 1997 by Al Royse. In our first year we had 4 teams. Over the next few years we added additional teams and the program has grown to over 20 teams with age groups from 11's to 18's. Our program includes National and Regional level teams. Many of our National teams are recognized on the National level and compete at the very highest level of play, with most of them playing in the JVA Mid East Power League, Bluegrass Qualifer, AAU Nationals, and other National events. Our Regional teams play a more local schedule which means less travel and less expensive. Cincy Classics is proud of some of our accomplishments. We have won 5 National titles and have several runner-up awards. We have developed and trained numerous girls who have received scholarships to many Division 1, 2, and 3 colleges to continue their volleyball careers.

Mission

Cincy Classics is dedicated to promoting the sport of volleyball focused on training our players to play to the best of their ability, stressing fundamentals, advanced volleyball techniques, and strategies. At the same time, players will learn the meaning of team, a strong sense of sportsmanship, fair play, and enjoyment of playing the game at a highly competitive level. In addition, several Cincy Classics players have gotten scholarships to prominent colleges and others have gotten scholarships to colleges where their educational needs were met.

Leadership

In addition to founding the club, Al is still the Club Director. Connie Sternberg joined Cincy Classics in 2000 and is now the Assistant Club Director. Julie Lovell is one of the Financial Directors and Tim Rohrkasse is the website administrator. Together, this team leads Cincy Classics Volleyball Club to be the best it can be. We continue to try and improve every aspect of our staff each year to provide the best experience to our players and their families.
